| | Vista SP1 and automatic updates There's a lot about Vista SP1 in the news these days. Now, I've been getting automatic updates since I have had Vista. Do I need to even pay attention to SP1, or have the periodic updates taken care of everything? |

| | Re: Vista SP1 and automatic updates This one Ernie has been answered before but, if you have Windows Updates set to automatically download he SP1 will be offered as a download (or partial download, if you system is currently up to date with update patches). Yes, you may be fully updated but you don't have all the contents of SP1 on your system. Some time in March (or thereabouts) Windows Update will download the SP1, all you have to do is install it. -- -- John Barnett MVP Associate Expert Windows - Shell/User Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org The information in this mail/post is supplied "as is". You will get it through automatic updates. You don't need to do anything special. It should be around the middle of March. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP - Windows Desktop Experience Please Reply to the Newsgroup |

No, neither has. It's been released to manufacturing, but it won't be available for public download until the middle of March.
