Sort of OT

That two line blurb that's at the lower right corner of the screen -
"Windows Vista (TM) Beta 2, Evaluation copy. Build 5308". How's that
getting there? Putting specific information like that on our desktops could
be helpful.

They have something in the software when it is compiled that puts it there.
It will be removed by RTM.

I'm not a Vista user nor do I play one on TV but I use this...

http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/BgInfo.html

to place all sorts of good stuff on the desktop of my server.

Key "HKCU/Control Panel/Desktop", change "PaintDesktopVersion" from zero to
one. Log off and back on for it to take effect. At least that's how it works
in Win2k and XP.
