How to move the page file from drive c to other drive?

I am trying to partition my hard disk but there is a limit to shrink the
volume. There is a suggestion to move the page files to another drive but i
do not know how to move the page files. Can anyone help me.

You can DELETE page files, and they'll be recreated.

Start - Help and support - search - Paging file - select 'Change the sizeof
virtual memory'

then just follow the steps.

RE: How to move the page file from drive c to other drive?

Hi AGC,

To move or modify the page file, do the following. Click on the start orb
and type 'system' into the search box. Select 'System' from the 'Programs'
section of the results list. In the 'Tasks' panel on the left hand side,
select 'Advanced system settings'. Note that you will need to provide
administrative credentials in order to continue. This will bring up the
'System Properties' page with the 'Advanced' tab selected. Under the
'Performance' section, click on 'Settings'. In the 'Performance Options'
dialogue that appears, select the 'Advanced' tab. On this page, under the
subsection 'Virtual memory', click 'Change...'. This brings you to the
'Virtual Memory' dialogue page. Note that 'Automatically manage paging file
size for all drives' is checked by default; you need to uncheck this to
continue. In the section headed 'Paging file size for each drive' there is a
list of available drives in your machine that are capable of holding a paging
file, the default being C: with a setting of 'System managed'. To change
this, click on another of the available drives and ensure that the 'System
managed size' checkbox is selected. Next, reselect drive C: and select the
'No paging file' checkbox. Finally, make sure that you recheck 'Automatically
manage paging file size for all drives'. Click on 'OK' to continue. This will
bring a dialogue box up saying 'The changes you have made require you to
restart your computer before they can take effect'. Click on 'OK'. Next,
close all open dialogue boxes. Your paging file will remain on the current
drive until you restart your system. After restarting, any changes that you
have made will take effect. Please note that moving your page file from drive
C: can have certain side effects connected with error reporting and also
possibly hibernation. As I only have a C: drive, I can neither confirm nor
deny this.
