| | Icon desktop display Just received new Dell laptop - when adding icons to desktop the pictures are not coming over - only the famous 'e' and descripton. Is there a way to get the company logo to show up? I do not have this issue with Dell Desktop PC (vista) nor HP laptop new Dell laptop w/visita. -- JoB |

| | Re: Icon desktop display I would suspect some corruption in Shell32.dll. When you rightclick some icons, and Properties tab, the Shortcut tab should have a 'change icon' button that should show the path to shell32.dll, and all its icons. If it's a Dell app shortcut, the exe or dll should be there. It's probably pointing at some IExplore *.dll. -- Was this helpful? Then click the Ratings button. | | Re: Icon desktop display I right clicked the icons on the laptop...i am not getting the path you refer to..nor pictures. I do see them on the desktop. Big difference.
