34 Optional Languages in Vista Ultimate

Hi,

I have had 34 optional upgrades showing for foreign language packs in my
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 'Windows Update' index. I haven't bothered to add
them to my system because I just don't need them. .....

My logic is that by adding them it allows other forms of virus', phishing
scams and spam into my system that might be disseminated in languages other
than English. For instance, I quite often receive spam written in Russian,
Hebrew, and Chinese.

I understand that Windows Vista SP-1 is going to include these language
packs within the upgrade. As I understand it, one choice will be for a
5-language pack and the other will be for the complete pack. Hard drive
space is not an issue for me, but security is.

Is my logic correct? ..... Will adding the 34 available language packs
supply new doorways for spammers and hackers to find other ways to access my
computer?

Thanks!

Elliot
