| | Windows Explorer Stops Working Im not real know how when it comes to computers but about two weeks ago I log in and click on one of my icon to do something as normal...Then I close that program but everytime I am back on the screen where all the icons are and my background photo is, this box pops up and says windows explorer has stopped working...Then all of my icons disappear as it loads back up. This only takes a few seconds to do but it does it over and over and over again. I really need help to figure out what is wrong and how I can get windows explorer to work properly. Its gotten annoying having to wait over and over for the windows explore to reboot itself. Please help if there is someone out there that can explain this to me in lamen terms...lol I'd be forever greatful pearl6678@xxxxxx is my email. I know someone out there knows what there doing (unlike me) and is nice enough to help. Thanks A million |

| | Re: Windows Explorer Stops Working The first thing you want to do is get some real info on what is happening. Go to start, and rightclick the Command Prompt icon, to choose 'run as administrator' At that prompt, type the command : perfmon /rel Reporting all the errors you see there would help understand what is happening. -- Mark L.
