| | cd-rom drive is not working My CD-rom is not reading CDs/DVDs. It tries to read, but nothing happens after few seconds. Is there anything I can do? By the way, I'm using windows vista. |

Rightclick the Command prompt icon on the Start menu, then 'run as administrator', then try to log that drive ('cd d:\' or whatever drive letter) If the command DIR reads the drive, it's a Permissions problem. -- Was this helpful?
