| Vista Ultimate x64 | How to make the ZIP files open with the default Compressed (Zipped) File Recently I've associated the ZIP files with WinRAR. Now I want it to open with the default Compressed (Zipped) File (and make the icon change). To do this I just need to go to Open With -> Make this program the default. The problem's that I can't find the location of the default Compressed (Zipped) File (a program). Can anyone give me its path (location)? |

| | Re: How to make the ZIP files open with the default Compressed (Zipped) File Hi, The "Compressed (Zipped) file" entry will not be listed there, as it's powered by a .dll (instead of .exe). You may download and apply the .zip file association fix from the following page to solve the problem: File association fixes for Windows Vista: http://www.winhelponline.com/article...ows-Vista.html -- Regards, Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Shell/User] Windows® Troubleshooting http://www.winhelponline.com "newbie" <newbie.350zo8@xxxxxx-mx.forums.net> wrote in message news:newbie.350zo8@xxxxxx-mx.forums.net...
