on screen keyboard

does anyone know how to get rid of the on screen keyboard? i just got a
laptop and accidentally selected the option on the sign in screen to have the
on screen keyboard pop up when entering my desktop. however, there doen'st
seem to be any way to stop that from happening or to unselect it in the menu.

Re: on screen keyboard

Should be in Control Panel, Ease of Access Center, or if you have a login
screen click the blue Ease of Access icon on the login screen to change
options there.

Vance

Open Control Panel.
In the left pane, click Classic View.
Double click Ease of Access Center.
Click the "Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard".
Remove the check mark from "Use on-screen keyboard".
Click the Save Button.
Click Apply.

Re: on screen keyboard

Thank you, thank you, Ronnie!!! I was about to post a question re: my
onscreen keyboard that just up & disappeared after a power outage. I
stumbled upon your post re: how to remove it which , of course, steered me in
the direction of how to restore it! The keyboard is about the only thing I
like about Vista... Thanks again.
