Vista SP1 Language Packs not supported

All,

Anyone know why Vista SP1 RTM was released when it doesn't support all the
Language Packs? There was no notice about this that I received and we keep up
with the most popular Microsoft newsletters and magazines. What do you do if
you need your particular Language Pack?

There are 34 Language Packs that I counted available in my Vista Ultimate,
not including the base English. We have 2 installed and need them. But of
these 34, only 5 including English are supported! One of mine is supported &
the other isn't.

SP1 is obviously not ready for release, but it's out here now. Do we have to
wait for SP2 to get full Language Pack support?

Thanks,
John

No. You'll just have to wait a while until they finish the other languages.
Obviously the English version was the base version, and the initial
priority.

Re: Vista SP1 Language Packs not supported

Because SP1 has not been released to the general public yet.

Re: Vista SP1 Language Packs not supported

Carey and SS,

Thank you both for a timely reply! I was almost ready to uninstall the one,
install SP1, and then attempt to reinstall the one back. But I'll just wait a
while though.

Take care,
John

Well, I already have the language packs. Aren't they exclusive to the
Ultimate edition?

Yes and don't uninstall any you may have already as they wont reappear until
SP1 is issued in those languages. I had all but English in my hidden
updates and they've completely vanished.
I've been told they will reappear when SP1 is issued in those languages.
