| | elevated mode I am unable to run DragonDictate unless i disable UAC. Unfortunately, everytime I reboot UAC resets itself. So, I need to un-tick in 'users' reboot and start all over again. I ask two questions. Can I remove UAC permanently? How do I get my program to run with UAC on? I am the sole user of this computer and am the administrator as well. Should i sign on as another user. I really am at my wits end here. Help will be appreciated |

| | RE: elevated mode seems to make no difference. Even if right click and "run as administrator" nothing happens. It seems I shall continue having to untick the UAC whenever it becomes necessary. | | Re: elevated mode thank you for your reply. It seems a little hazardous to me and too complicated for an old man! I will just remain with my present "fix" of un-ticking UAC in users when it becomes necessary. It is just a nuisance to have to wait a seven or eight minutes that takes to reboot the computer after doing so. Thanks anyway. Maybe someone will finally find a way of permanently removing this ridiculous user control that Vista has added. From what I've been reading hardly anyone is pleased about having it and it certainly slows any computer down tremendously. you are not the administrator and will never be. Help will be appreciated You might try using Compatibility mode on the program to see if it will run properly afterwards. This will show you how. Compatibility Mode Shawn |
