Clicking link in web page to send mail

When I click a link on a web page to send an email I get an IE pop under
window with another error window saying couldn't perform this operation
because default mail client is not set properly? I have gone to programs in
IE and set Windows Mail as default. what more must I do to click a link to
send email?

Thanks for the help, Rich

Re: Clicking link in web page to send mail

I had that problem, too. Go to control panel/default programs/set default
programs, select windows mail and click 'choose defaults for this program.'
In the next window you should see the .eml--mailto--email link options. Make
sure they are all selected. then click save.

Re: Clicking link in web page to send mail

Thanks for the reply but that was what I had done. What I did find while in
default programs was on the bottom of the selections was Set program access
and computer defaults and choose custom hit the down arrow and selected
Windows Mail and OKed out of that and all is well now!

Thanks for the help, Rich
