| | Just installed Vista 64 bit Ultimate Hey gang, Have been reading these forums basically since Vista's release, and have been hesitant to purchase it. I finally decided, to get another hard drive, and purchase Vista Ultimate retail full version, and install the 64 bit version to run in a dual boot environment , with my XP Pro 32 bit, leaving the XP Pro as my main primary OS for a while. I got it installed yesteray afternoon, and have been playing around with it. While it is certainly different than XP, I can say the more I use it , the more I like it. Seems to be pretty robust on my system, and no issues so far. And I really like, having all my 4gb of ram recognized. I am pleasantly surpised so far, I was expecting it to be worse than what I have seen to date based on all that I have read. Certainly, there are things I don't like as much about it, and other things I like better, but for now I am enjoying getting used to it and messing around with it. -- Don EVGA 780i MB Intel Core2 Duo E6600 @ 3.3 ghz Zalman 9700 NT Heatsink/Fan 4 gb PC 8500 Corsair Dominator Ram BFG 8800 GTS 640 mb video card Soundblaster XFi Extreme Music Platinum |

| | RE: Just installed Vista 64 bit Ultimate Your experience the same as most. There is certain hardware that is problematic, but Vista is the only OS that works with no tweaks on my rig (including XP).
