Windows Defender

Ok so I have been having a problem with Windows defender for a while now I
can't scan my computer. Everytime I do it I get an error message that states
"Windows Defender has encountered and error: 0x800106b5. A problem caused
this program's service to stop. To start the service, restart you computer
or search Help and Support for how to start a service manually." I tried
what it said but it does not help at all. Can anybody help me with this?

Re: Windows Defender

This does not help. When I use the winmgmt/salvagerepository it keeps saying
WMI repository verification failed
Error code: 0x80041003
Facility: WMI
Description: Access denied

You need to run cmd with admin privileges. In All Programs > Accessories >
right-click Command prompt, and select 'Run as administrator' from the
context menu.
