Management Console

None of the programmes within the Microsoft Management Console will run. I
get an error message of "Class not registered". Any suggestions why this is
happening.

I am running Vista Home Premium

Re: Management Console

Depending on the Recovery Options available to you, starting the safe mode
menu (F8 on restart) should give the "Command prompt" option. Running the
command :
CHKDSK /R
may fix your corrupt files.

Re: Management Console

Northexp

Many of the snap-ins for MMC are not included in the Home versions of Vista.
Which snap-ins are you trying to run?

Re: Management Console

I am only trying to run common parts of the management console such as task
scheduler, computer management, event viewer and device manager within
control panel. All previously worked. All produce (a less than helpful)
Class Not Registered error message
