Download Problems

I have a Gateway notebook computer with Vista Home Premium. Since I bought
it, I have had download problems. Initially, almost anything I downloaded
would not open. Windows would give the message "A problem has caused the
program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and
notify you if a solution is available." I was unable to find a solution
online or talking with tech support. I can download programs on another
computer and open them on the Gateway, but I cannot download them on this
computer. The download goes fine, but I cannot open the files--they are
corrupt. Does anyone have any thoughts about what might be causing this?

Re: Download Problems

Are you using a download manager?
It sounds like something is corrupting them, maybe turn off IPv6 in
networking & see if that helps?
