Office 2003 works perfectly well with vista.
Just make sure to get the Office 2003 updates for it.

Yes. It works just fine. I'm not an Office expert, though. If you want to
get the opinion of Office experts post in one of the Office newsgroups.

Works fine, I've been using that combination for about a year now with no
troubles.

Re: Office 2003

There is one minor incompatibility. It's of no consequence, really, but
it's still a flaw.

After loading and updating Office 2003 for Vista, if you're into using the
"office assistants" under help, you're stuck with only one: the paperclip.
If you try to change paperclip to one of the other assistants, you'll get an
error of "not enough memory". I was fortunate enough to "stumble" across a
"fix" on David Overton's blog:

http://uksbsguy.com/blogs/doverton/a...-messages.aspx

Again, it's not a significant issue; nonetheless, it is an issue, minor
though it may be.

It bothered me because I enjoyed using the "cat" as my help assistant on
WinXP Pro, but couldn't under Vista. Minor frustration.

Other than that, everything in Office 2003 works fine within the Vista
environment.

Take care,

mE

Ernie

Stick with Office97, that works fine with Vista.

Re: Office 2003

Yeah, I forgot about that... I never use the Assistant.

The other tweak is you have to open one of the programs as Administrator
once and accept the EULA, else it keeps popping up.
