You can install dreamscene on non aero glass capable vista just fine! the microsoft even says this, and then goes on to say that it enables non glass capable systems to set videos as wallpapers but in static mode only. | | Re: Help with Dream Scene please I looked and DreamScene is not in C:\Windows\Web\Windows DreamScene. I've done a search of the computer and there is no DreamScene anywhere. Yes, my computer does run the Aero theme. It's a HP Pavilion dv6000 notebook. I purchased it new in November. DreamScene is not in the ultimate extras updates. My update says there are no Ultimate extras available. When I go to view update history It shows that DreamScene tried to download last November but the download was cancelled. I have the computer set to auto download updates. Is there anywhere, maybe from Microsoft, that I can get Dreamscene? I know I never got the Ultimate Extra Texas Hold'em Poker Game either. | | Re: Help with Dream Scene please your computer has service pack 1 downloaded by a mistake microsoft made and released sp1 to some users of 64 bit vista. To verify this go to start, and type winver and press enter When you have SP1 then no extras are in the list because they have not updated them for SP1 You are losing your time trying to find a solution. | | Re: Help with Dream Scene please Hi Linda There is a way to refresh the windows updates that will cause the updates that are not installed to be offered again. I'm not sure about the exact steps to accomplish this. Post a message in the Windows Update newsgroup and the experts there should be able to help. Here is the direct link to access that newsgroup.
