| Guest | Vista Control Panel Problem I have the same problem as Ken (Post 3/2/2008). I have lost use of my printer and my Restore Point Create is disabled by "Group Policy". My problem started when I downloaded "TweakVI", a software for tweaking Vista. I only browsed thru the software(no changes were made). A couple of days later when I clicked on the Control Panel it came up blank. All files under this folder are still there. I get new Restore Points every time I download something. But there was only 2 to choose from prior to losing the CP. Both restores came back with an error " failed to create Restore Point. And now it won't let me create a restore point. Judging by the one reply the only remedy is reloading the OS. There must be a change that occured somewhere in the Registry. I'm hoping someone can give me an idea where to look.
