| | How set the windows sidebar gadget for email client Hi, How set the gadget on the sidebar that open my email client when I click on an email address? Now appear an error message because is associated to Windows Mail but now I use Windows Live Mail. How change from Windows Mail to Windows Live Mail the association to a specific email client on Windows sidebar email gadget? Thanks |

Unfortunately don't work the problem is something else. Appear this message when I click my email addresses links on the sidebar gadget: impossible access the device,path or specified file. | | Re: How set the windows sidebar gadget for email client Alberto It's very likely that the sidebar gadget was developed for Windows Mail and is not aware of the Live Mail program. We need some details to try and recreate the behavior you are seeing. What is the name of the gadget? | | Re: How set the windows sidebar gadget for email client I don't think it is going to work at all---Windows Mail seems to use a storage file of some sort for its contacts, something like the old *.wab address books. I believe the Contact gadget you are referring to reads directly from that file. Windows Live Mail seems to use a folder with individual contact files C:\Users\{user profile}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\Contacts\gerryf19@xxxxxx\real I don't think it is capable of reading them individually.
