| | Router Issues with Vista x64 and NForce4 Ok this one goes out to anyone having issues with Vista x64 (My Build 5472), NForce4 Network cards and Routers. For the longest time I couldn't connect to my Routers Setup page at all. I would get the login prompt then nothing. Some web sites would refuse to to come up at all, EBay with a number of others. I did a NetMon capture from the system to the router to see what was going on the wire. When I looked at the capture I found that 85% of all my TCP packets were failing the CRC check. After a whole lot of testing I found the culprit. It seems that the setting of "IP Checksum Offload" was what was givng me my headaches. Once that was disabled everything worked like a charm. To find this little nugget check the network interface properties under advanced and ensure that it is disabled. After that it everything should work as it was meant to. If this works for some people let me know. |

| | Re: Router Issues with Vista x64 and NForce4 There is a Networking Bug in Build 5472 (for example, File and Printer Sharing Do Not Work in Build 5472), Just FYI. It is not an Nvidia Issue, Just FYI. I stopped using Build 5472, and returned to Beta 2 Build 5384, and no longer have any more Networking Problem's, Just FYI. I do have a Nvidia Nforce 4 SLI Intel Edition Chipset, Just FYI. Nvidia's Beta Driver's Do Not Officially Support Build 5472, Just FYI.
