| Guest | Limited connectivity / no internet When connecting to the wireless router following message occurs: Connected with limited Access (no internet access) It seems to me that the connection attempt fails when acquiring IP address Laptop info: Vista Home Premium 32 bit- Ran all current Windows updates Sony Viao Model VGNCR220e Intel Wireless WiFi link- 4965AGN Wireless Router info: Linksys Wireless G Cable Gateway MODEL- WCG200 version 2 Using DHCP I currently can connect without issue using MAC OSX and Windows XP on other laptops so I know the wireless is working Help I am stuck as to what to try. | Guest | RE: Limited connectivity / no internet Your picking up an autoconfig IP address there. Which means your Vista machine isn't getting a DHCP address lease for some reason. | Guest | RE: Limited connectivity / no internet OK Try a few other things: 1. Temporailiy setting your wireless network adapter to a to a static IP address within your router's subnet. 2. Connecting to another wireless access point. 3. If you're using WEP or WPA encryption at the router, check that you've given Vista the correct access code.
