| | How can I regain "thumbnails" view in Vista? In XP, I could select "thumbnails" to view my photos from within My Computer. I don't have this option under Computer in Vista, although the help screen seems to indicate that it should exist. When I go to Computer and look at Views, I have these options: List, Details, Tiles, and 3 sizes of icons. I frequently used this option in XP when I moved photos from one folder to another. Can anyone provide information on how I can access this feature in Vista? (Windows Help and Support says this: "Click the arrow next to the Views button, and then move the slider to change the size of the thumbnails." However, there is no reference to thumbnails when I do that, and certainly no slider to change the size -- unless I simply am looking in the wrong location, which is certainly possible.) Thanks, MaryL Thanks, MaryL |

Use medium size icons view in your pictures folders, it roughly equals the XP thumbnails. Charlie42 |

I had checked (or, more likely, it was the default) "Always show icons, never thumbnails." Unchecking that -- and selecting the correct size icon, as you suggested -- cured the problem.
