CYNFUL Your post wasn't very clear besides. Are you trying to delete files from the recovery partition so that your can use it for general use? I'd suggest that before you do anything that could possibly corrupt the recovery partition, you use the utility provided by your computer manufacturer to make a DVD Recovery Disk. You'll need to consult with your computer manual for the correct procedure. And when you save a file, it should simply be a matter of changing the current drive in the "Save As" dialog before you click the save button. You didn't mention which program you are saving from. |

| | RE: VIEWING AND DELETING FILES ON VISTS RECOVERY PARTITION Leave the Recovery Partition alone; otherwise you will have nothing to fix your computer with when it crashes through you stuffing around with it. The Recovery is NOT there for you to add, delete, or do anything to! At startup you will have an option to hit an F key to install the Recovery partition, if need be. Also, read your manual, the maker's website or ring the computer maker and ask them how to make Recovery DVDs from that D: Partition -- Mick Murphy - Qld - Australia "cc31959" wrote: Quote: > I am having major trouble not only views the files on my D:\ recovery > partition I am having trouble deleting files and even back them up to free up > space.
