Re: windows update and installing new languages

Look for a C:\MUI Packs folder.

Re: windows update and installing new languages

I don't think there is any action on your part that would help. You will
have to wait for the Update site to straighten out whatever that error is.
The MS site seems to have "ServicePackitis" today. :/

Re: windows update and installing new languages

80240016 WU_E_INSTALL_NOT_ALLOWED
Operation tried to install while another installation was in progress or
the system was pending a mandatory restart.

Has the system been rebooted ? If so, download and save this update:

Update for Windows Vista (KB942903) x86 [32 Bit]

*IF* this is Vista x64 [64 Bit]:

Update for Windows Vista for x64-based Systems (KB942903)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

When the download completes close any open browser or programs.
*Right* click the downloaded file and choose 'Run as administrator '.
Follow the prompts and reboot if requested to.
