error message - pscND106 is not working properly and shut down

I have a Canon Powershot camera and tried to load the software, Zoombrowser
EX, onto my laptop only to find out it's not compatible with Vista. I then
uninstalled the program and installed another that is compatible but keep
getting the error message "pscND106 was not working properly and was shut
down" every time I plug my camera in. I got this message before I installed
the new software and my camera works with this software on my desktop machine
so it's not a compatibility issue with the new software.

Please help.

Your best bet is a Restore point before the Cannon install. If you can't do
that, there may be a way to 'uninstall' the camera driver in Device Manager,
to let it reinstall it.

Re: error message - pscND106 is not working properly and shut down

How do I do a Restore in Vista? Can I Restore to a date before the
installation without setting it back to the original defaults and what will
happen to files created since then? I've already uninstalled the software
and installed Picasa which works with Vista. Picasa recognizes the camera but
when the camera window opens there are no programs in the list to associate
the camera with.

Thanks for your help.

A restore won't hurt data. You lose a few settings made since the restore
was made. If you can do it, I think then installing the working camera
software will act a lot better.
You will find System Restore in start/.../accessories/system tools/
