metadata standards

WinXP does not support editing ITPC or EXIF meta-data, this is an indurty
wide stadard and although it may be for some users protection websites like
Flickr who are pushing forwards Web 2.0 technology cannot utilize the vast
amount of user entered info because Windows XP has its own meta-data summary
fields.

I want to know if Windows Vista will support EXIF and IPTC editing in
windows. Why, so when I upload my images to Flickr it will know what the tags
are and comments etc... right now it doesn't and its Microsoft's fault.

Re: metadata standards

I'm pretty sure that Windows Vista adheres to the industry standard EXIF and
IPTC, however I could be wrong.
