| | Vista Crash/Freeze from fresh installation -_-;; After a fresh installation of Vista Home Premium, my pc freezes randomly. If i decide to wait it out it magically unfreezes but this is a constant habit. It leaves the pc clock frozen at the time of the freeze. Suprisingly it lets me play full screen games but nothing else. Reinstalled multiple times, downloaded all updates with no change. Perhaps my motherboard isnt compatible? or my graphics card is just dumb? :S any help would be much appreciated. Foxconn RC4107MA-RS2 Motherboard Intel 3.4ghz Dual Core Processor Nvidia 7600GT Graphics Card (256mb) 1gb RAM |

| | Re: Vista Crash/Freeze from fresh installation -_-;; You might check in Task Manager to see if one of your cores is spiking to 100% while the other has spare capacity. Make sure to change view to show both cores and if so, you may be able to change the affinity for some apps to compensate. Vista has this problem on my machine with many apps running where XP did a better job of allocating. | | Re: Vista Crash/Freeze from fresh installation -_-;; I downloaded the "multi meter" gadget for my sidebar, it shows little core percentage use each and about 50% ram use....
