Vista Tutorial - What is it with Vista and IE7? Can't pull up nbc.com???

IE 7 - won't pull up nbc.com
Firefox - no problem!

Is this a side effect of some sort of paternalistic code inserted into IE to
keep me 'safe' on the Internet? Well thanks, but no thanks!

And I can't pull up www.discovercard.com using vista and both IE7 and IE8.
This started happening last week. I suspect something MS did to us!!!

No problem here using IE7 on Vista Ultimate w/SP1. I have not installed IE8
beta. Did the problem start after you installed IE8 beta? Financial sites
have historically been slow to allow new browsers. If you uninstall IE8 or
reinstall Vista what are your results?

the problem with nbc.com is restricted to Vista tablet OS, wich is what I am
running.

In Firefox both of these render the page, in IE neither of these work at
all. Internet Explorer cannot display the web page.

Here's what happens in a VB program which I whipped up with an embedded
browser control to see what happens when browsing to nbc.com. Is it the
cross-site access to weatherplus.com which is perhaps throwing IE into a
panic?

It's some kind of cross-domain problem.

I threw nbc.com into my trusted sites. No change. I threw weatherplus.com
into my trusted sites. Now when I browse to nbc.com I wait, and wait and
wait - Waiting for http://www.nbc.com/...

I'm not a big fan of Firefox. But here's one that they got right.
