| | Icons not appearing or appearing incorrectly in System Tray Notebook: HP DV9720US recently purchased with Vista Home Premium installed Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M (Windows Update tells me that my driver is up to date) Icons in the System Tray do not appear or they appear with an incorrect status. For example, right now as I am typing in the form, I have an internet connection (wireless g) but the icon is not in the system tray. Other times, when my connection is fine, the Connection icon appears with an "x" as if to signal that there is no connection. Is there something I can do or does Microsoft need to fix this bug? |

If all the System tray icons are not appearing correctly, then you might try resetting them to see if it will help. You can see how here. Notification Icons - Reset If it is just the Network icon that is not displaying correctly, then make sure that these Services are set this way below. If you need to know how to set Services, then see: Services 1. Network Connections - Started, Manual 2. Network List Service - Started, Automatic 3. Network Location Awareness - Started, Automatic 4. Network Store Interface Service - Started, Automatic Hope this helps you, Shawn |
