NT kernal and System

x86 home premium

This 'NT kernal and System' service is constantl using sytem resources.. anyone know what it does and how I get it to use less resources... a constant 40% it uses but its only 786 k in memory?

That is essentially the core to the OS - Vista won't run without it...
