Vista Start Menu dissapears when sub folder is selected

When I click on Start-->All Programs and then on any folder to display the
program options, like Games, it expands to show the options but disappears
before I can click on it. If I don't click, the menu stays up.

Items that are pinned to my start menu can be clicked without a problem,
just the sub-menu/folders have this problem.

As an example, lets say I want to play Chess, I click on Start, All
Programs, Games and then immediately the start menu disappears!

When I change my menu system to classic, it works fine.

Any ideas on a solution for this

Thanks

Re: Vista Start Menu dissapears when sub folder is selected

I have no help for you, but when I use the classic menu (the new menu
is awful), when I click, it disappears and no applications open.

Suggestions from anyone else?

John
