| | Can't get out of safe mode I had an issue with one of my games and it directed me to go into safe mode to uninstall it. Now that it's uninstalled, I can't get out of safe mode. I've been through this forum in and out. I've done nearly all the things that it has stated that come close to my issue. I'm still in here. I've been in and out for 3 hours now. I've gone through the msconfig, and told it to restart in normal mode, I'm still in safe mode. I've used the F8 button while starting it, and told it to go to safe mode, I'm still here. I've even checked to see if it was the resolution, I've set it to my default settings of 1280x720, and restart it, it's still in safe mode. I've done EVERYTHING that I can think of. It's really getting to me, so PLEASE help me out. |

| | Re: Can't get out of safe mode While in Safe Mode, run devmgmt.msc Use it to 'uninstall' the Display adapter and then 'scan for hardware changes'. This should replace the video card driver and allow a normal boot. -- Was this helpful? Then click the Ratings button. I've also just reset my computer back to an earlier date, like 15 days ago, and it's still in safe mode. |

"No GUI Boot", "Boot Log", "Base Video" and "OS boot information" should also be cleared. |

After the system is rebooted, restart any registered applications" --------- *Report back, please* [When responding to posts, please include the post(s) you are replying to so that others may learn and benefit from the issue] [How to ask a question] http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 <dev@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:en2T5P7iIHA.5820@xxxxxx Quote: > /Mikie McDonald/ said: Quote: >> >> "Mikie McDonald" wrote: >> Quote: >>> >>> "Mikie McDonald" wrote: >>> >>>> I had an issue with one of my games and it directed me to go into safe >>>> mode >>>> to uninstall it.
