Office 2000 and Vista x64

Having seen many threads re: Office 2000 and Vista, my question is has anyone
been successful installing Office 2000 on a Vista x64 system? When I attempt
to install Office 2000, Vista x64 does not accept my product key during early
installation.

Bad news. Office 2000 is outside the support window for running on a 2007
OS. MS has a 5 year window for that. You could upgrade to 2003 and make it
work.

Ya, your best bet is to upgrade. You have little to no chance of getting that to install on x86 let alone x64.

You might try OpenOffice.org.
