scheduleddefrag ends with 0x1f "last run result"; Vista Home Premi

I run Vista Home Premium.

I ran a manual defrag on 3/19/08 and i then changed the scheduled defrag to
run every two (2) weeks, starting on 3/22/08.

The defrag ran on thw 3/22/08 and fininshed in 1 second. I got all of the
"normal" messages in the "history" tab, but I got "0x1f" in the "last run
result" column. Of course is usually says successfully completed (0x0).

I cannot find what "0x1f means. Any ideas???

Did it not run because it determined that the defrag was unnecessary because
a manual was run just 3-days earlier??

Thank you!

Rightclick the drive icon in Explorer, and Properties. Tools tab, try "Error
Checking" the drive.

Mark,

Thanks for the suggestion. I did as you said and let it run. It ran for a
while, I have 500GB drive, so I did not watch it. The next thing I knew it
finished and my desktop whas up. NO messages, NO anything. Is there a way
to determine if any errors were found or fixes??

Thank again!

The Event Viewer in admin tools will report problems. Defrag should work
now.
