System Recovery Error 100a

I'm not sure what happened, came back to my PC and it was off,so i restarted
it and it wouldnt go past the Compaq Logo,i waited a bit and it told me to
insert boot up media disc and hit any key.All i had was my recovery discs i
had made,so i put in first disc and it took me to system recovery ,clicked
yes to have it recovered to factory specs. Then i clicked next, and an error
came up Error 100a.I couldnt get passed that point. so i rebooted three
tiimes ,tried recovery again, still got error message. Then the 4th time it did
restart but took along time. Can anyone tell me what happened or what the
error meant.Thanks LadyAmethyst

Re: System Recovery Error 100a

I don't know what options you have for saving data, but you should do
something to save what you need right away. You are seeing signs of hard
drive failure. No one likes the bearer of bad tidings (Cleopatra killed the
messenger that brought her bad news :/) but I think you should consider a
USB drive to backup your system, and get a replacement hard drive for your
computer.

1961 was a great year for me (16 yo) I hope this helps.
