language icon

in the windows vista login screen, at the bottom left corner there is
an icon that allows user to select a language. for some unknown
reason, mine is always set to hebrew thus making me unable to logon
using the english password unless i select the english option. how did
it set to hebrew? (this is a new laptop). how do i make it default to
english? also, i notice some pc don't have this language selection
icon at all. how do i remove it?

thanks for your help.

Re: language icon

Go to the Control Panel and select Regional and Language Options. Go through
the various tabs and make sure they are all set for your location and the
language you prefer.
