Lost password

got a couple of vista computers that i have been asked to fix as the main
problem is on both they have forgotten the login password so i need a program
or something that i can use on any vista computer that will let me to reset
the password or change it as they just cant remember it to login at all.

This tutorial will assist you in resetting the user password:

Reset User Account Password

ok i can create a reset disk on a floppy now when you do it on your machine
it ask your password do you put it in as its for another pc so do you leave
it blank or what thanks.

The password reset disk will allow you to reset the password to a new or blank one. You can see how to use it in the video in Method Four here if needed. It can only be used on the computer and user account that it was created on.

hmm thats what i thought it would be no good then as have to do it to a
couple of pc thanks any way, i guess keep searching unless you have any more
ideas that might help thanks.

Hi Tiger29,

You can create the Reset Disk from Method Three in the same link instead of the one from Method Four to reset any computer.
