Creating Folders in START menu

I am running Vista 32 bit Ultimate.
There is so much MS junk in the 'All programs' menu that I would like to
group it into a folder called 'miscellaneous.' But I can't see how to do
this. I've tried 'open all users', explore all users,' but can't figure out
how. This was easy in XP.

What have you done many times? Oh yea, I do remember that latex girlfriend
you purchased on ebay. No need to brag to the group. Maybe you should have
kept that a secret.

RE: Creating Folders in START menu

Shortcuts on the Start menu reside in 2 places (more if there is more than 1
user account):
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu
and
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

Shortcuts in the former can be seen only be seen when logged onto that user
account. Shortcuts in the former can be seen by anyone.

You can navigate to either of those locations in Windows Explorer and create
the 'miscellaneous' folder. Then you can either use Explorer to move the
offending shortcuts to that 'misc' folder OR open the start menu and just
drag the shortcuts to 'misc'. And, yes, it's kind of a pain.

Oh great doesn't have a clue. You should just ignore him, or do what I
did after reading only two of his posts and killfile him.
