Does SP1 fix slow copy/move?

Can anyone tell me if installing SP1 fixes the problem with the very slow
moving or copying files in Vista?
Thanks

Yes, that was one of the major improvements.

Re: Does SP1 fix slow copy/move?

I have not yet installed SP1, but I can say that with my original Vista I
got a goodly improvement in move/copy speed by disabling Remote Differential
Compression: Control Panel| Programs and Features| Turn Windows features on
or off| Uncheck Remote Differential Compression. Have found no adverse
impact of disabling RDC. Not sure what I will find when I go to SP1, but it
is definitely helping me now. Give it a try....
