| | Having smaller icons on the Desktop? There was an easy way to do this in XP if I'm not mistaken, but I can't find the option in Vista Ultimate: I would like the icons on my Desktop to be smaller in size, as the icons of some of my older programs look grainy when enlarged as much as they are. How would I go about doing this? Changing the resolution has not particularly helped. Thanks! |

| | Re: Having smaller icons on the Desktop? you can also press the ctrl key and keep it down and at the same time use the mouse scroll wheel up and down, to adjust the size dynamically "jel183(UK)" <nospam@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:820CF4FF-B1C2-42D4-ACDE-B4A5F00D132B@xxxxxx Quote: > "It Is Me Here" <ItIsMeHere@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:53BFF8EE-5084-4E54-9A32-5F3C7266FD30@xxxxxx Quote: >> There was an easy way to do this in XP if I'm not mistaken, but I can't >> find >> the option in Vista Ultimate: I would like the icons on my Desktop to be >> smaller in size, as the icons of some of my older programs look grainy >> when >> enlarged as much as they are. >> >> How would I go about doing this? | | Re: Having smaller icons on the Desktop? As long as you are using the AERO theme, you cannot access the icon size feature in Vista. If you were using the Classic theme, it is available from Personalization/Color, Advanced button, set Item drop box to 'Icon' and set the size -- Was this helpful? Then click the Ratings button. One way makes the icons bigger, the other smaller. Note that this is a Windows standard, and also works in most applications. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP - Windows Desktop Experience Please Reply to the Newsgroup |
