| | Hidden Icons Since SP1 for Vista Ultimate, it seems the Hide/Hide when inactive/Show setting are lost on occasion for certain Notification icons. Also there is one icon that shows up that I have no idea whewre it comes from and I am consequently unable to delete whatever program is generating it. It always has the little red circle with the diagonal line through it. |

This tutorial will show you how if needed. Notification Icons - Reset The red circle with the diagonal line through it sounds like the icon for Ad-Aware from Lavasoft. Hope this helps, Shawn |

| | RE: Hidden Icons Hover your cursor over it, and see what comes up in writing about it. If nothing comes up, probably spyware. You can also right-click on it to see what options it gives you. -- Mick Murphy - Qld - Australia "Tom" wrote: Quote: > Since SP1 for Vista Ultimate, it seems the Hide/Hide when inactive/Show > setting are lost on occasion for certain Notification icons. | | RE: Hidden Icons Thanks. Nothing when hovering or right clicking. I run the normal gamut of spyware detection programs and nothing has shown up for quite some time.
