| | Vista - Vista Business with dual screens |

| | Vista Business with dual screens I`ve noticed a problem on a couple of my Vista machines when a secondary monitor is attached. I am running Vista Business at my company on 3 different Lenovo notebooks and when I unlock my machine the screen seems to blink a few times before settling down back to normal. Initially I thought it was due to an inferior screen card but then noticed the problem on a much higher spec notebook. I`ve tried the following: - changed the resolution on both monitors to match, - changed the refresh rate to match, - disabled Aero, - optimized for performance, - remove any desktop backgrounds, etc - updated my display driver to the latest driver revision None of these changes have made any difference regarding my specific problem. An interesting note, my Dell notebook which has a lower spec than the Lenovos works perfectly with both the standard out the box driver and the latest Dell driver. Any suggestions welcome, Richard |

| | Re: Vista Business with dual screens You can turn off the feature for User Access Control temporarily (in user accounts) and you would see that go away. I recommend that you tolerate the blink. -- Was this helpful? Then click the Ratings button. Voting helps the web interface. http://www.microsoft.com/wn3/locales...eAPostAsAnswer Mark L. Ferguson .. Are you using Presentation Director to change screen mode? Fn + F7. Have you tried making a fresh scheme, or tried others? ss. |
