| Guest | Bar Codes I have Office 2007 Home & student. When I print an envelop I don't see where you have the insert bar code option on the earlier versions of Word. How am I able to insert bar codes on individual envelopes to different addresses? |

| Guest | Re: Bar Codes The post office uses its own bar code system. It would be a complete waste of time to print your own bar code on an envelope since it would likely conflict with the official one used by the post office. -- Carey Frisch Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience - Windows System & Performance --------------------------------------------------------------- "EAA Docent" wrote: I have Office 2007 Home & student. | Guest | Re: Bar Codes The POSTNET bar code that Word generates no longer qualifies for USPS bulk mailing discounts http://support.microsoft.com/kb/897290 "In general, the Postal Service recommends that, unless you are preparing a mailing for automation rates, you should NOT put barcodes on the mail pieces. As long as the mailing address is correct, your mail will still be processed efficiently without a barcode—and you won’t need to worry about having the wrong barcode on your mail. A bad (incorrect) barcode is much worse than no barcode at all. A bad barcode can cause your mailpiece to travel to the wrong destination."
