shadow copy / restore thingy archives exactly what?

Hi,

Does shadow volume copy = restore point service? same thing?

Whatever it is.. I see it running alot. My understanding is that it is
only backing up system files, basically stuff in the Windows folder. Or
is it including personal files in the process?

thanks

I see. Looks like I have automatic restore points enabled for drive C:.
Thats fine. I just don't want it saving every version of every file i
edit away somewhere so that presidente Bush can learn what times of day
I wipe my *** and what movie i rented last week.

It takes up a lot of hard drive space. I turned system restore off. I back
up using One Care.
