Indexing Options not functioning after SP 1 install.

I am using Vista Home Premium with SP1. Since installing SP1, indexing is
fouled up. I do not know if this is cause and effect but "Indexing Options"
has nothing in the box and the Advanced button is greyed out. Does anyone
have any suggestions as to how to proceed?

Re: Indexing Options not functioning after SP 1 install.

In Start.../Administrative Tools:
Double-click Services. In the Services dialog box, under Name, double-click
Windows Search. In the Windows Search Properties dialog box, click Stop,
then click Start, and then click OK.

Re: Indexing Options not functioning after SP 1 install.

Mark, I am very suspicious about the state of my copy of Vista ever since I
installed SP1. Not only is the Indexing Options item not active, but I can no
longer find Administrative Tools, Media Center and one or two other items. I
see somewhere that Microsoft is offereing free SP1 installation support and I
guess I should go there.
