| | hard drive activity at Log On screen When I turn on my computer and let it boot and let it get to the Log On screen I notice that even after it's been sitting at the Log On screen for a few minutes there is still hard drive activity. Is that indexing going on? (I'm using vista home premium 64 - I have not made an changes to the default for search indexing which I assume is on.) - Walter |

Is that indexing going on? pick. ;-) The nice thing is, you do not have to wait for all this to finish before you can log on. Charlie42 |

| | Re: hard drive activity at Log On screen I don't quite understand your issue here. From the moment you power on your system there's harddrive activity, even in sleep mode or when the system idles (in your case you leave it at the log on screen) |
