audiodg.exe

Hi

Why in the name of God, does Microsoft put this Windows Audio Device Graph
Isolation thing into Vista? This thing uses 40-50 % of my Core 2 Duo CPU.
Please tell me that I can get around it somehow?

Re: audiodg.exe

The good news is that this should be easy to fix. "audiodg.exe" should be
hosting the third party audio effects. Evidently that effect is poorly
written.

Please go to the Control Panel, Sound, then click "Manage audio devices".
What device is it? Then double-click that selected option in the Playback
tab. Then click System Effects. What System Effects are listed? I would
really appreciate knowing that information.

At this point, click "Disable System Effects" and you should be good to go.
It's possible that the vendor for that effect (Audio Processing Object) has
released a later update that doesn't have this bug, but "Disable System
Effects" is a quick way to get back to an acceptable state.
