Desktop Folder/File naming?

The names I have created under my desktop icons are mostly truncated.
For example, WINDOWS EXPLORER appears WIND....EXPL......

Where can I control this? Where can set the names to show in fullest?

Thanks

Re: Desktop Folder/File naming?

basically you must change the spacing *horizontal* between the icons.

See this screenshot

but instead of border padding in steps 5 and 6 look for horizontal icon
spacing

and experiment with the space settings
