Hello.

The TV tuner of my card Pinnacle PCTV Rave is not detected by Windows Vista
Media Center (both on Beta 2 and on Pre-RC1, both with Windows Update
drivers and with drivers provided with the card).

How could I have this tuner detected by Media Center ?

I doublt that you received Vista drivers for you card with the card they are
most likely Windows XP drivers.
Are you saying that when you ran WinUpdate while running Vista that found
new drivers for you and you installed them?
Have you checked the Pinnacle WebSite for Vista drivers for your card since
they may have some that have not yet been qualified by MS?

Yes, the drivers given with the card are for Windows XP.

On Windows Vista, it installs drivers from Windows Update by default but the
tuner is not detected.

On Pinnacle website, there's no driver for Windows Vista.

In order for a tuner card to be supported by Media Center it must support
DX9 rendering and it must have a hardware encoder chip on board with MCE
(BDA) drivers.
Assording to the following link your card does not have theses features and
Pinnalce makes no claim that it works with MCE.
